Strengthening our community by removing technology barriers
Nonprofits have enough challenges: technology shouldn't be one of them
Our History
Triceratops Technology Resources began in 2018 as a group of friends and tech professionals who wanted to give back. What started as a few small side-projects has revealed a larger need: many charities are struggling with technology in ways that directly affect their work. Over the years, we've expanded into a mission-driven nonprofit and volunteer network.
Our Values
Purpose-Driven: Technology is only useful if it solves real problems. We spend a lot of time getting to know each organization and supporting them after a project.
Technology Agnosticism: We focus on what nonprofits actually need to work smoothly, not on pushing specific tools.
Open-Source: We prefer open-source solutions, so our partners have the freedom to adapt their systems over time.
Featured Partnerships
A few of our recent projects with nonprofits.
We provided ongoing I.T. support, data management, and platform improvement to reduce manual data entry for the staff.
We troubleshooted their yearly scholarship process and trained staff on how to manage applicants in Google Forms more easily.
Franklin Street Harm Reduction
We built FSHR a brand-new website and helped set up their Google for Nonprofits account.
We trained RRUFF staff and volunteers on how to pull donor reports and automate entries into Quickbooks and Little Green Light.
We planned and taught digital skills training classes with our local library on the basics of using a computer and cell phone.
We held recurring drop-in tech support for asylees, refugees, and immigrants to help them connect with family and navigate the online world.
We used SSP2P's existing resources to host a custom collaboration platform using free and open-source software to share information.
We built OlyMAP a brand-new website, assisted with data management in Ragic, and provided ongoing IT support and vendor management.
We provided staff and volunteer training sessions and were able to negotiate with their hosting provider to get a major project covered under their existing hosting contract at no extra cost to them.
We provided training and data management for the Coordinated Entry program. Having organized and quickly accessible data sped up the process for people in critical need of housing.
We built user-friendly automation in-place over their existing tools so they could enter data one time and have all the information filled out everywhere it needed to.
We developed curricula and delivered lessons in the school and connected students with members of our volunteer network of senior software professionals.
Testimonials
What our clients are saying about us.
Kristin Hart | Case Manager at Fleetwood Apartments
"You guys ROCK so hard!!!! I am so appreciative."
Alison Waters | CE Data Coordinator
"Triceratops Technology Resources spent weeks getting to know our problems and paid attention to the exact needs of our system. We streamlined our database for a more reliable and collaborative experience for everyone working in it. Griff was personable and pleasant to work with. He brought a ton of experience and showed me how to work smarter, not harder. I was able to easily teach others about the improvements that were made and gained the know-how and confidence to continue making system improvements on my own. I highly recommend Triceratops Technology Resources."
